Call for Entries: HOT ROOKIES (Period: Dec. 3 – 19, 2012)

GICB 2013 is taking a new initiative seeking to discover new talents for the future through HOT ROOKIES. This competition is open for artists under age of 40, and only through Online Application at www.kocef.org. Even though it is a ceramic competition, we welcome artists using other materials but the majority of work shall be ceramic. It is a big opportunity for young artists to present their works to professional artists, editors, other experts, and general public at one of the important ceramic biennale. We select 20 artists only, and support the following conditions; 2,000 USD funding for material and packaging and Round-trip transportation of artwork (Door to Door) and Insurance.  Do not miss this opportunity!!

Gyeonggi International Ceramics Biennale 2013 KOREA
Call for Entries: TALKS BY ARTISTS (period: Dec. 3, 2012 – Feb. 15, 2013)

GICB 2013 is looking for the LECTURES during the biennale (Sept. 28 – Nov. 17, 2013)! We would like to give artists an opportunity to introduce his or her art world as a way of communicating with the general public. We welcome not only artists but also other experts such as critics, journalists, historian, curators, and etc. Selected artists will have a change to give a lecture on Saturday during biennale, 14:00-16:30 at Icheon Toyasium Seminar Hall. Applicants shall be submit “CV & Summary of lectures and contents” via Email only (gicb2013@gmail.com)
