"For the Table"
Location: 18 Hands Gallery, Houston Texas
18 Hands Gallery is looking for entries for its 2009 “For the Table Show,” a juried exhibition that will run the month of August (in conjunction with the Houston Heights White Linen Night celebration).  This exhibition will feature original hand-crafted items that might be found on a dinner table.  All artwork must be original and produced within the last 18 months.  All media are eligible and submissions are open to Texas and Louisiana artists only.  Entry fee is $25.00, payable to 18 Hands Gallery.  A maximum of 5 works per artist may be entered.

    2009 National Juried Art Show
    Exhibition Dates: September 2 - 25, 2009
    Location: Corsicana, Texas
    Sponsor: Navarro Council of the Arts
    Juror of selections and awards: Bob Rohm

    Open to all artists 18 years of age and over residing in the USA. Two-dimensional original works on paper or canvas that have not been previously shown in this competition are allowed. Works must have been completed within the past two years without instructor
    supervision and may not be copies of works by persons other than the artist. No computer generated, photographs or printed work will be accepted. Boundary measurement of framed art shall not exceed 150 inches. Boundary measurement is determined by adding the horizontal and vertical measurements together. For example a 24x30 inch framed painting would equal 108 inch boundary. Oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, alkyd, tempera, mixed media, pastel, pencils and pen and ink are accepted media.     Sixth Annual Fort Davis Juried Art Show
    Exhibition Dates: September 5 - 27, 2009
    Location: Fort Davis, Texas
    Sponsor: Kate Hoffman Art Association
    Open to all artists age 18 years and older. Artists must arrange for hand delivery of all accepted pieces.     Location: Corpus Christi, TX
    Sponsor: K Space Contemporary
    K Space Contemporary is pleased to announce a call for entries for the third installment of the Third Coast National exhibition. The Third Coast National is a non-thematic, juried exhibition of new works of art from all across the USA. Eligibility: Artists age 18+ living in the USA may enter. All visual art forms and media accepted. Juror: Fairfax Dorn, Executive Director Ballroom Marfa Awards: Cash prizes. Including the Erick Schaudies Memorial Art Award for Best of Show. Cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd places.  Entry Fee: 30.00 for non-members and 25.00 for members for up to 3 works of art.     Materials Hard & Soft - 23rd ANNUAL National Contemporary Craft Competition and Exhibition
    Sponsor: Denton Greater Arts Council
    Location: Denton, Texas
    Eligible Media - Works produced in any of the craft media: clay, fiber, glass, metal, pa-per, wood, or any combination of craft media is acceptable. Entries must be the complete work of the submitting artist. Kits or commercially designed works will not be accepted. All work must have been completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited in the Center for Visual Arts. Artists must reside in the United States or its pos-sessions. Entries must be submitted in digital format only. Please refer to the entry specifications that follow for exact submission procedures. Ac-cepted pieces not accurately represented may be withheld from the exhibition.  All work must be ready for installation. Submissions are restricted to a weight limit of NO MORE THAN 75 POUNDS.
